Celebrating the Big Sky arts scene with Tallie Lancey

For Big Sky Sotheby’s International Broker Tallie Lancey, there’s always a way to shave out some time to give back to the community. Most recently she helped out with the Arts Council of Big Sky’s annual Auction for the Arts, envisioning and bringing the colorful decorations for the event to life.

Lancey started volunteering for the ACBS nearly a decade ago. She started as secretary for the ACBS board of directors and soon moved up as chair of the board, a position she held for a number of years before passing the torch. During that time the organization’s annual auction was founded.

She stepped down from the ACBS board of directors due to term limits, but that wasn’t the end of her involvement.

“I didn’t want to leave them hanging,” Lancey said. “I feel like the arts council is my family.”
